Denver Food Rescue
DFR's mission is to produce health equity WITH Denver neighborhoods. Utilizing fresh produce & other fresh perishables that would otherwise be thrown away from retailers, our food distributions are powered by community members of the communities with which we partner.
The emphasis on partnerships, community-led, volunteer- driven programming and the community board of directors provides DFR the ability and foundation to tailor programs to fit the unique needs of each community.

Denver Urban Gardens
Our gardens are places where people come together around a shared value--growing organic food. They are also spaces that promote connected lives with the earth and each other. Our programs provide access, skills, and resources to help people grow food in community. We offer youth programming, skill-building workshops for adults, community-centered events, volunteer garden workdays,
We believe that by growing in community, we strengthen our ability to access healthy food, live in harmony with the earth and each other, and be more resilient.

The GrowHaus
Everyone deserves a healthy meal. Yet, in many communities there are extensive barriers to fresh food access. The GrowHaus primarily serves the Globeville and Elyria Swansea (GES) neighborhoods as well as other neighborhoods experiencing food insecurity through partnerships with Denver Public Library and Boys and Girls Clubs.
We strive to be a community-driven organization, meaning that our goal is to have all programs led and implemented by members of our community or others from similar neighborhoods. We are successful when the youth, families, and communities we work with are empowered to feed, nourish and strengthen themselves and each other.

Hunger Free Colorado
To meet existing needs, Hunger Free Colorado makes it easier for people to access and afford food with dignity. Through caring, knowledgeable staff and partners, we connect people to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other programs that provide money for groceries, healthy meals for kids year-round and consistent access to fresh, local foods.
Our work to end hunger will not happen overnight – it will take a long-term commitment to creating sustainable, structural change.

Metro Caring
Our Fresh Foods Market is at the heart of Metro Caring, where shoppers choose from an array of nutritious foods based on their dietary needs and preferences and leave with fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dairy, and lean protein. Metro Caring also provides ID and birth certificate vouchers, hosts cooking clubs and nutrition classes, cultivates urban agriculture programs, and catalyzes wealth and capacity building in our community through entrepreneurship learning circles and community organizing that equips people with the skills to use their voice and story to advocate for the changes they want to see in their community.

Montbello Organizing Committee
Montbello Organizing Committee collaborates with a network of schools, no-cost food distribution sites, and youth participants to grow 10,000 pounds of fresh vegetables. These vegetables, along with tens of thousands of pounds of food rescued by partners in the network, are distributed (most at no cost) to families and individuals with limited access to food.

Re:Vision
Re:Vision is dedicated to community leadership, ownership and empowerment of low-income residents of color through food justice. Our approach transcends traditional food access solutions such as food pantries and community gardens. We are intentional about creating a local food justice economy, supporting the entire food chain, from the local farmers to the recipients. As such, we work to reimagine systems and encourage empowerment of as many people in the supply chain of a food system as possible.
With our expertise in community-led development and reimagining systems, Re:Vision is a trusted resource to inform that work for Denver communities as we emerge into a new phase of societal life.
